From microphone to receiver

A small transmitter.
A live UHF connection.

Sound → microphone → UHF transmission → compatible receiver

01

Fit the two cells.

Follow the demonstration to install the two included CR2032 batteries.

02

Switch to ON.

The 1 position selects standby. ON starts transmitting.

03

Match the frequency.

Tune a compatible UHF receiver to the value written on your transmitter’s box.

Up to 700 m (about 2,297 ft / 0.43 miles) is the published maximum in open areas. The illustration is not to scale and does not guarantee this distance through buildings. Obstacles, interference, antennas and receiver performance affect reception.

Fixed frequency. Simple switching.

Listen live.
Keep the modes clear.

Spy-IL11 combines an electret microphone, a UHF transmitter and a built-in battery holder. The circuit board is 20 mm in diameter, with an approximately 15 cm flexible antenna.

Each unit is tested and supplied at a fixed frequency within 400–470 MHz. The exact value is handwritten on its plastic storage box. It is not a user-tunable transmitter.

Audio is transmitted live rather than recorded internally. The switch selects standby or transmission; the two modes have different battery-life specifications.

Original English demonstration

Setup and a real reception example.

Battery installation, switching and UHF tuning.

Hear the supplied reception demonstration.

The video describes two locations approximately 650 m apart in a straight line and uses a receiver tuned to the demonstration unit’s 458.205 MHz frequency. This is one demonstration, not a guaranteed distance for every setup.

Use your own box label when tuning. Optional English captions are available in the player.

Two modes, two battery-life figures

120 hours on standby.
12 hours transmitting.

1 selects standby.

With batteries installed, position 1 puts the unit in standby. The published standby time is up to 120 hours.

ON starts live transmission.

Move the switch to ON to transmit. The published transmission time is up to 12 hours. These are separate mode-specific figures, not 120 hours of audio transmission.

Battery quality and conditions affect actual time. Two CR2032 cells are included for an initial test.

Before you choose

A few useful answers.

Does 120 hours mean continuous transmission?

No. Up to 120 hours applies to standby. The separate transmission specification is up to 12 hours.

What do the switch positions mean?

With cells installed, 1 selects standby and ON starts transmission. Follow the video demonstration.

Is every unit set to 458.205 MHz?

No. That is the example unit’s frequency. Tune to the value written on your own storage box.

Can I change the transmitter frequency?

This model is supplied at a fixed frequency. Tune the receiver to it rather than treating the transmitter as user-tunable.

Are batteries and receiver included?

Two CR2032 test cells and the labelled plastic box are included. The receiver is not included.

Is 700 m guaranteed?

No. This is the published maximum in open areas. Actual range depends on the receiver, antennas, obstacles and interference.

Does it record sound?

No. It sends sound live to a compatible UHF receiver.

Match your UHF receiver.

Ask Alex about the labelled frequency, receiver compatibility or operating modes.
